Multiferroic heterostructures thin films
Webstudy, which focuses on creating a model thin film BiFeO3 system via oxide heteroepitaxy. In our experiments, we grew phase-pure BiFeO3 (BFO) thin films in the thickness range of 50-500nm by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) onto single crystal SrTiO3(100) (STO) substrates. To ensure heteroepitaxial growth, we chose the conducting perovskite Webnanostructured multiferroic thin films Sergiu Mihai Stratulat Supervisor dr. Marin Alexe Supervisor prof. dr. The films also exhibit enhanced thickness-dependent magnetism compared with the bulk. These enhanced and combined functional responses in thin film form present an opportunity to create and implement thin film devices that actively couple the magnetic and ferroelectric order parameters. WebAcum 1 zi · The superposition of atomic vibrations and flexoelectronic effect gives rise to a cross correlation between free charge carriers and temporal magnetic moment of phonons in conducting heterostructures under an applied strain gradient. The resulting dynamical coupling is expected to give rise to quasiparticle excitations called as magnetoelectronic …
